About .PHOTOS

.photos is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) operated by Binky Moon, LLC, part of the Identity Digital portfolio. It was delegated in December 2013 and opened to general registration in March 2014, in one of the first waves of descriptive extensions released under the new gTLD program. The plural name points to a collection of images rather than a single picture, which suits photographers, studios, wedding and event galleries, portfolio sites and image-sharing services. Registration is open worldwide to individuals and organizations, with no residency or professional requirements. Related extensions include .photo, .photography, .pics and .gallery.
